Exempt position, 40 hours/week, with benefits. Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Music, Theology, or both. Candidate would be a member of the parish staff and liturgy committee. The candidate should have a thorough knowledge of the Roman Catholic Church, including its structural operation and liturgy, as well as willingness to adapt to the culture of the local community. Must possess strong background in leadership skills, social skills, and communication. Creativity is a must, as the candidate will manage and oversee the parish’s six weekend liturgies, holy days, weddings, funerals and a variety of services (e.g. quarterly religious education liturgies and paraliturgies). As a musician, the candidate should possess strong conducting skills for volunteer adults and children, and implement a planned vision for a growing music program. Vocal/Keyboard/Guitar skills desired. As a liturgist, the candidate should have a thorough knowledge of the Rites, the rituals and movements within them as well as the environment which enhances them. Knowledge of Ministry Scheduler Pro, Microsoft Office, and ParishSoft desired.
